    can you disable dashboard?

    I have heard you can somehow on this forum but i dont know how

    I just use the ironically named "Stop Dashboard" widget. It stops Dashboard from running until you enable it again with the F12 key.
    You can download it on the widget page on the Apple site.

    You can also use the free utility TinkerTool. It can disable Dashboard and do other good things. You can get it at: http://www.pure-mac.com/sys.html#tinkertool.

    I just un-installed it the usual way. Did I do something wrong?
