Flash Player Problems

Over the past couple of weeks, my computer has been telling me that Flash player isn't installed, when in fact, I've been installing and installing the latest version of the player soooo many times, and when I get to the confirmation page after "installing" the player, it says I need Flash player! What the ****!? So basically, any help?

I have the same issue on a new-to-me iMAC with 10.5.7 and AOL Desktop - it won't recognize the Flash Player. Earlier AOL versions work OK on things like youtube, but not on AOL Desktop.

Did you ever fix this one for yourself?
