    is iphoto and imovie free for a mid 2012 MBP
    hi i bought a mid 2012 MBP from my friend and reset MBP to factory settings using internet recovery. now its is running OS X10.9.4. when i went to download the iphoto from app store it asking me to pay, which my friend got for free earlier. please help

    The iPhoto, iMovie, and iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) apps are only free to buyers of a new Mac not one purchased second hand. Sorry.
