Nope...can't do it. The last OS version where this might have been possible was OS 10.6.

I have Unreal Tournament 2004. It starts but the screen is jumbled with lines. It does work sometimes, but not a lot. Help.

It is not necessary to start two threads for the same topic (that's called cross-posting). Please continue in the original thread. Thanks.

If you're getting Unreal Tournament 2004 to work on an Intel Mac running Mavericks...then this is a seriously updated version...since this ga,e was originally PPC Mac's only.

The jumbled lines you mention may be due to a graphics incompatability between the game & Mavericks...and/or newer Mac hardware.

Maybe you can tell us exactly:

- what version of Unreal Tournamant you have unstalled?
- where you got it from?
- did you have it running fine on another Mac/other Mac OS version?

This Universal Binary patch may help. Note it is a 'may' as the patch was released in 2006 for Lion:-

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

That's exactly what I was thinking Harry. OP may be using an extremely updated version of this 2004 game. Updated to work with Lion (OS 10.7)...but not anything newer (10.8 or 10.9).

Thanks for finding that detail.
