Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good ad and spy ware cleaner for Firefox.

I have a pop up blocker but a lot of my searches go through a-akamaid.net which I believe is spy ware of some kind.

I have started using Tor, perhaps this is the way forward?

Have a look here: Safe Mac Removal Guide.

As far as the search engine, I've been using DuckDuckGo for a long time now - great stuff, no complaints.

a-akamaid.net is a server farm which several major web sites use, including Apple.
Check your add-ons in Firefox for unknown add-ins and/or plug-ins.

Thank you both.

I found Slick Savings (which was another one I was seeing) as an add-on in Firefox, now removed.

Regards.
