Annoying Adobe popup - how to prevent it?

I regularly get this ridiculous popup from Adobe, which serves no purpose at all.

What possible point is there to interrupting people's workflow to alert them that they need to do nothing?
And more importantly, how can I prevent it from ever appearing?
