    Mac Pro OS X Leopard 10.5.6
    Contacts Application Won't Open
    My Mac is Mountain Lion 10.8.5
    The Contacts app refuses to open.
    Everything else works fine.

    G'day and welcome to the forums.

    Do you mean directly from the Dock? if so this is an alias only. Drag it off the Dock, open Applications and drag Contacts there and this will create a new alias. If not, select in Application folder and hit 'Open' under File and see if that works. Next suggestion is Repair Permissions in Disk Utility.
    Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
