iphoto: manage keywords greyed out

I've been happily going through my iPhoto library assigning keywords. Now suddenly the "Manage my keywords" Cmnd-K command is greyed out. I can still assign the existing keywords to photos or events, but I can't create or change keywords. Any ideas?

Found the answer myself! You have to be in edit mode rather than info mode, then the menu items become available. Maybe that will help someone else ……..
