Just recently iTunes has decided to open all on its own. I am running OS X 10.8.5 and iTunes 11.1 (126). I haven't done or added anything recently and I have no idea as to why it just opens and starts playing a track?

Any ideas please folks?

John.

Are you automatically syncing iTunes with an iOS device over WiFi ?
I assume you have already checked your ' login items ' for the userID you are loggin in with :-)

As far as I know, and that isn't much, I don't have any iOS machines at all. Unless it could possibly be my 2nd generation iPod Touch? The WIFI is turned on and it has been in my pocket all morning as I was listening to some music in the garden? Bluetooth is switched off.

iTunes isn't opened at login

Those are the 2 things I could think of.... I am sure another member will chime in who is more knowledgeable on iTunes.

Cheers ... McBie
