When you open a compose window there are a series of icons on the bottom right of the header. What is the last one to the far right next to the lock?

Does it tell you anything if you hover over it with the cursor?
I think it might be settings - like for the email or something. I forget and I'm not at my Mac right now. Try clicking on it and see what it does.

Hey, look at that! Now your thread is closed. Go fish.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
