So being new to Apple I am still figuring out the prefered applications you seasoned users prefer. I am going to be burning a copy of Ubuntu Server to turn my old laptop into a media server but of course I need to burn a copy of it, does OS X have a default ISO image utility? If not what is your recommendation? Thanks for any responses.

I drag the iso in Disk Utility on the left pane highlight it and select burn in the top menu.
For bootable USB I use Unetbootin.
