Bitorrent help

I want to use Bitorrent, but I have really limited knowledge on how to get this to work. I know the terminology- trackers, seeders, etc. but no one has strung all the info together so I can figure out how to go about using Bitorrent.
I have downloaded Bitorrent. Now what?

I use http://bt.etree.org . It is provided by the etree.org community for sharing the live concert recordings of trade friendly artists.

All of the shows on that site are legal and supported by the artist. Most of them are fan taped shows although many bands still allow soundboard recordings

I was looking for more of an in depth explanation of how to get this all working.
My main use for Bitorrent would be podcasts and foriegn TV shows.
I have downloaded Bitorrent......
Then I .... ?????

find .torrent files of whatever you want and open them using bittorrent.

And remember to seed!

download bittorrent ( i would suggest azureus though, just what i prefer to use)
go to a torrent site
download torrent yyou wish
open torrent file using bittorent (or azureus or whatever)
wait until the download completes and then make sure to continue to seed during and after you are done downloading

if using azureus and you arent getting green smiley faces you most likely have a nat error....(or you are downloading very unpopular files and you arent seeding to anybod) we can explain this farther once you get to this point

maybe with enough info we can create a bittorent faq out of this thread? (if we dont already have one....becase i have never been to the faq area)

I have just started usings BitsOnWheels, I am a very big fan of this client. Very low resource usage, and a 3D Map of the swarm is pretty cool

lots of clients I've never heard of. I use azureus.

The swarm map does sound cool.
