question regarding media players

I am sure that other beginners have had this same problem/question. I need a program/media player that will play all video files (wmv, avi, etc.). Havent found one yet for Mac.

Suggestions?

doesn't itunes do it? it will convert wma but what is wmv?

Mplayer OSX, you can download it at www.versiontracker.com. I play my .AVI files on it.

Try VLC Player, it can play just about anything.

It's actually just windows media video, but the hidef windows media files use the same extension
