Ok I just made the leap of faith from Windows to Mac, and have a few questions about how to migrate stuff.
For instance I have a server running Windows 2003 which has a share on it called Photos. This share has a directory structure such as : Kids | -->November 2005 | -->December 2005 etc Now on the iMac I have 2 users setup - what I want to be able to do is to import photos from the memory card or camera onto the iMac, but for the actual photos to be stored on my server share. (this is due to a dlt drive being on the server) Also I'd like both users to get the same album view - without having to re-import photos for each user Finally I would like to retain the same kind of directory stucture as it is on the server share, ie tiered Can iPhoto handle this or at worse can I have the photos located in a shared folder on the iMac and then perform a daily script copy to the server etc? cheers |
