Looking for a cheep software to turn the computer off every 30 minutes and then turn back on after 5 minutes. I have TIME OUT, but am looking for something else.
Thanks much,
Al

TimeOut doesn't turn the Mac off. it just blacks the screen to prompt the user to go do something else, take a break etc.

You could get an app to turn it off, but if it was off you have no way to turn it back on again because nothing is running on the machine to start that process.

You could have something on another machine using wake-on-lan but you'd need to be able to control that somehow.

Perhaps if you let us know what you're trying to achieve it'd help because as is, once the machine is off, that's the end of it.

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup

Doctor told me to stop working and get up every 30 minutes from the computer.
Need something to remind me.
