What software do I need to unzip a .docx file on a Mac (OS 10.4)?

Thank you.

docx files aren't archives - they're Microsoft Office (2007 and newer) documents. You can use something like LibreOffice to view them (the compatibility isn't 100% perfect but it should work well enough to view them).

It isn't a zip file. it is a Microsoft Word 2007 or later document.

You can Preview .docx files in Snow Leopard and I think you can open it in Text Editor... I think.
