Microsoft has released overnight SP2 for Office 2011, taking it to version 14.2.0. Just over the 100MB download.

Thanks Harry. I wonder if this addresses that long standing "asterisk issue."

EDIT: I did a cursory read of the release notes and didn't see it mention it.

I just downloaded and installed it. I thought the "asterisk" glitch was already fixed in a previous update?

I just checked the Mac Office MVP site and they claim it was fixed with 14.1.2 LINK

Just over the 100MB download. *Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!*
