Hello I'm a new Mac user and I have a quick question and I'm not sure which forum to post it in. Does anyone know if you are able to back up and view previous editions of documents that are done in OpenOffice the same way you are able to in Pages? Thanks to anyone able to help out.

No, OpenOffice doesn't support autosave and versions the way Pages does.
