Styles in Word 2011

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to PERMANENTLY delete a style in Word 2011? If you remove it from the Styles Bar, or delete it from the Styles Menu, it vanishes and reappears every time I re-open word. Even if you rename a style, it brings back the old one and keeps the new one. This is incredibly annoying. Please help.

You have to remove it from the "Normal" template otherwise it will reappear each time you open a new blank document.

Is it possible to delete or hide all the 'Sty'es' that are supplied with Word 2011? Having to scroll throiugh them all when I want to apply one of my own styles is a real menace.
