I usually try to avoid Adobe Reader and use Preview instead. Not aware of any issues with Lion and Adobe Reader.
I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

This is true enough, I had experienced formatting issues with SOME pdf's and Preview on Leopard and Snow Leopard. I haven't tried with Lion, and have Acrobat X installed anyway (not reader)

Every time I install Adobe Reader I get a continual round of pop ups wanting to update and then stalling out. After a while I get annoyed and uninstall it.

The only reason I needed it was for a DVD Comic Collection. Without Reader the watermark shows up. I decided to get used to the watermark instead of putting up with Reader.
    My own ornerynus I guess.

    Specs:
    2012 13" MBP (2.5 i5, 8GB)
Some PDFs don't work in Preview (ones with "fancy" features"). It doesn't happen often but it is nonetheless a recurring issue.

jimmymc1, unless you actually need Reader, you might as well stick with Preview.
