Hi,
Hopefully this is the right area for this question, I apologise if it's not - 20 years working with computers and this is the first time I've ever used a forum - what a noob! Anyway, I have iPhoto '11 v9.1.5, pre-installed on the iMac when I bought it (December 2010 / January 2011). iPhoto now keeps telling me there's an update available, but Software Update tells me all my software is up-to-date. I tried downloading the upgrade from the Apple support site, and running that tells me I need v9.1.5 in order to upgrade to the latest version... but I HAVE got v9.1.5 installed already! Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. |

Well, I've finally solved it - it appears that Software Update didn't update iPhoto because I had moved it from "Applications" into a separate folder.
Copied it back into "Applications", ran Software Update, and it's updating as I type. I wonder if this is the same for any other applications that are moved from the "Applications" folder... |

You can move apps into their own folder as long as that folder is INSIDE Applications. Software Update ONLY looks in Applications because applications should NEVER EVER be located anywhere else.
