Hello,
I have a MacBook OS X 10.4.11. Recently I am having problems with iTune, at first - as soon as I try to open it, it crashes and I have the well know message: The application iTunes quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected... ... then I realized the same thing happens when I want to use Keynote, Graphic converter, QuickTime or VLC. Is there a common link between these... any idea what I have to do? Thanks for your input |

First step for me when things like this happen is to verify and repair permissions in disk utility. You can do this without having to boot from the install disc.
If that does not help, then I would run disk repair from disk utility, but by booting from your install disc. Try the first step and then report back to us. Not effectively if there is a serious issue, no, but you can certainly run it.
It will repair minor things, but you really need the install disc to do a proper repair. Try my custom Mac Forums Search Engine: Mac Forums Google Search Please use the reputation system if you consider any help given useful (it's the little ✓/✘ on the left <---) ![]() |
