im using MBP purchased a year ago. before, i could play starcraft 2 (original cd) smoothly, adhering to the recommended settings of the game. Nowadays.. its total lag, even with all the game settings at its minimum. Even DOTA wont run smoothly anymore. No other programs in use while playing the game. help me out.

Interesting. I would bet you have some kind of persistent program running in the background, consuming resources.

Have you installed an anti-virus product of some sort? Are there any programs in your 'Login Items', under your user account?

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
