Can't print custom page size.

I'm trying to make a 2 page wide, text only banner (17"w x 11"h). Every time I try to print Word '08 crashes. I tried saving as a pdf, click print, it crashes. I remade it in CS4, crashes. It's just some basic text that I don't care if it gets split in half and printed on 2 pages, I'm just going to tape it together after.

Anyone have any tips?

I searched around the web and keep finding the same response to my question ... "If you printer driver doesn't support it, it won't print."

Moved to proper forum.

There may be something else going on besides the printer driver. But since you didn't supply us with any info about your system and the printer.....?
