I don't know which version you should download. I'm not familiar with the differences nor do I know what your requirements are. What are you looking to do?

I got a new book called JBoss at work: A Practical guide. You can see the example source code of the book here.
The book covers all the basic stuff for jboss but I am newbie with jboss and that is why I do not know which edition is appropriate for MAC.

Thank you.

I'm not at all familiar with JBoss but I imagine that the book must detail installation. Does the book not cover the differences between editions or, at a minimum, suggest that you use a particular version?

No. It does not cover installation nor the differences between the editions.
