Trouble with Call of duty 4 fullscreen mode

So, iv'e been trying to see what call of duty 4 would be like in a windowed mode, and last night it asked me 'would you like to play in windowed or fullscreen mode' and for some reason i clicked windowed to see what it would be like like, anyway i CANT get it back to fullscreen mode ive tried everything, can someone help me?

ps. iv'e tried r_fullscreen then vid_restart

and everytime i open up the game when i type in 'r_fullscreen' its always on 0
