I'm having trouble ordering my footnotes sequentially on Word 2004. For some reason I have two of the same number, and I can't change one of them without making another duplicate (e.g. I have 2 5's, and if I change one to a 6 then I'll have 2 6's). There's also a gap in the numbering because a deleted a few footnotes (it goes from 6 to 10). Is there a way to quickly fix these problems so that the footnotes are in order again?
