Need some advice. Have a new 2011MBP with SL. I have a bunch of avi video files that I would like to convert so QT will play them. These videos are taken with a sd card then loaded directly into my mac. I dl Divx to view them but would rather not use divx and stick w\ QT. I see that Total Video converter is used and recommened by many users. Is this a decent product to use and I take it, if I purchased this software I would get the mac version. Thanks.

Quicktime should play them anyway, but if not download Perian for Quicktime, and you certainly will be able to.

And to ad to what my mate Kev posted ^^ on top of Perian, dl Flip4Mac as well. Once you have open them, they will sit in System Preferences, so if you can't find them, thats where they will be.

@Kevrino WB mate. Good to see ya

Cheers

Plus MPEGStreamclip if you want to convert them. Always thought that Flip4Mac was for playing wmv files.
