Sometimes I like to google for mac themes and everytime I am disappointed because i never really find any themes I can use so then i started googling for how to make your own.

I recently found out that there are theme installers for mac through a thread that is a couple years old at this site. The ones mentioned were Candybar, magnifique, and shapeshifter.

So i found that candybar is lion ready but are there any that are like shapeshifter that lets you change the look for like everything on a mac?

thank you for your time and/or help

I would love to know this as well. I am wondering if this CandyBar app is worth the $30? Do you like it? Does it work with Lion 10.7.1?

What is the BEST program for doing this on Lion? At least you get a bump out of my threadjack :p I will check out magnifique and shapeshifter.

I don't much care for theming and think it causes more problems than it's worth, however you might want to check out this: CrystalClear Interface: A Theme for Mac OS X

You might also want to take a look at Geektools. It's pretty great for customising your desktop to match a theme.

I rather like the whole look and feel of my Mac OS X Lion install as it is, out-of-the-box. Functional, pleasant to look at.
