So my HD crashed upon the installation of Snow Leopard a few weeks ago and I lost everything! After installing a new HD I was then able to install a clean copy of Snow Leopard. I'm very pleased, however I lost crucial programs that came stock with my earlier version (Leopard) like Garageband, iPhoto, iMovie, etc. and other stuff like that.

Is there anyway I can get those apps back without paying for them? I still have my original installation CDs for them but don't know if they'll work for Snow Leopard. Get back to me if you have had this issue or have any suggestions. Thanks!

I can confirm that iLife 08 works in Snow Leopard (as Dysfunction has noted) - I ran those apps with no problems. Check your install discs - I believe it's on the second disc (although I could be wrong). Look for the "Optional Installs."
