Hello! I'm desperately looking for help! My old iMac's motherboard died and I ended up getting one of the new iMacs. I was able to remove the hard drive from my old computer and use it as an external drive but once I transferred all my program files to the new computer none of the adobe suite programs worked! Something about an error code 6. In a desperate attempt to use hacks for the new photoshop SC5 in lion I learned that most people think it's impossible to do because the method using Terminal to crack it no longer works. I was using this persons method at the bottom of this page:

When I input the sudo command in Terminal, text edit won't allow me to paste any new text into the file saying that I don't own it and so cannot edit it. But then it tells me I can create a duplicate. I tried making the changes to the duplicate and this still did not open photoshop. Is it truly impossible now? Thank you for your help, time and support!

There is no help provided here with pirating/illegal activity. If you have a legitimate copy, call Adobe.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
