So, here I am like a little child on Christmas (or any of the other faith-based holidays--take your pick) with my brand spanking new 12" PowerBook, G4 complete with OS X (10.4), did my registration for AppleCare, set up my Airport connection and jumped on-line. I could not for the life of me figure out how to load Windows Media Player 9 (the apropriate version for OS X) There was much chatter on the net about problems others experienced trying to do this very same thing but no solutions. The empty icon appears on my desktop and when I double click it tells me I need to assign it an apropriate application. What application should I assign it? Or, is this in fact not the version for the newest of the OS? Anyone who has either experienced this problem with no solution or has experienced this problem with a solution would be greatly appreciated. I warn you I am a novice with Mac (and not a computer whiz on anything.)
