Regardless of whether I use Safari, Chrome, Mozilla or whatever, when I open a google page, search google, or go to the google home page it automatically starts an endless string of redirects and pop-ups that continue until either I shut the browser down or my mac freezes. The first redirect goes to this URL
http://60.191.124.250/dns.php?AIMT=h...=1311745388917

I have Sophos anti-virus software which picks up nothing and I tried switching my DNS number because I found that there were several popular forum threads discussing a similar but different issue having to do with only Google searches being redirected.

I don't know how to solve this problem but it's incredibly irritating and I'm concerned that there's some sort of malware on my computer.

Hmmm, I tried out the removal program they had and the scan didn't find anything.

I am having the same problem with this redirect issue, I have spoken to Mac support multiple times, and they suggest i rest my browser, but that only works for a little bit, then the problem comes back full force, right now it is exceptionally bad.

This is typically what the redirect url will look like before changing my destination to a completely unrelated page:

http://53d8.r.google.com/click?q=goo...t%20mac%202011

The url will change a lot before I get to the destination, so I'm not sure if this is actually the offending url.

I also tried the link that someone put up for the removal product, but nothing was detected.

So far I have found no one to correctly address this issue although its been an issue for me for about 6 months.

I'm tired of mac enthusiasts repeatedly telling me that macs can't get viruses, yet no one is able to address this issue.

Pointless I guess suggesting you remove your AV software.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Hello
I have joined in the hope of finding a solution to the redirect issue - which I have recently started happening when I browse using mac browser.
I see others have had this as a google redirect issue.
What can sort this?

Btw, I notice that this appeared in the url:
http: //wkjjewskd.com/tds/in.cgi?20&ab_iframe=0&ab_badtraffic=0&antibot_hash = 3477429680&ur=1&HTTP_REFERER=http://www.bookbaskets4u.com/search.php?
q=malware+on+apple+mac+redirect

What do I do?
QUOTE Thanks
