Anyone else having lagging issues on Safari 5 web browser? I just upgraded to 10.7 like everything else and have been having compatibility issues with a number of apps and other programs slowing down remarkably. I don't think it's my hardware since I purchased my mac book pro in december. But I have other programs that worked great before and now have been having issues with them? But the Lagging is the thing that is making me wonder the most.
Any ideas? |

G'day and welcome to the forums.
Just the opposite in fact. Find Safari much faster than Firefox which has been used for yolks here.Check you are running Safari version 5.1. Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |

There's an great site to check app compatibility with Lion: Mac OS X Lion Application Compatibility - RoaringApps You can also check out our Apps forum here: OS X - Applications and Games - Mac-Forums.com You should also check with the developer of the app to see if it's compatible or if there's an updated version. schweb | community leader flickr » facebook » twitter » tumblr » google+ » about.me Mac-Forums: On Twitter | On Facebook | On Flickr

Have no issues with lagging on my almost 5 yr old MBP either. It is about to be relegated to being a HTPC.
As schweb suggests, I'd check the compatability of the apps you're having issue with. Along with what percentage free space do you have and have you done any maintenance on your Mac? I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus. |
