So, I have a Macbook, and it's current version is 10.6.8. Yesterday, I decided to look at the App Store (yes, for the first time) and when I tried to buy FaceTime I noticed it says: "To download FaceTime from the Mac App Store, you need a Mac with Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later". I have received the same message when I browsed other applications.

Help?!

Are you sure you're running 10.6.8. When you click on the Apple and click on "About this Mac", what does it say?

If in fact you're running 10.6.8 and getting that error, keep trying as the Apple App store has been overwhelmed in the last 24 hours with heavy downloading of the new Lion operating system.
