Ok here is the story, I have had some issue burning a iDVD project, over 4GB.
I while ago I was having DVD burning. The disk were ejecting before it says its finished.
So what I did then was delete the project and start a new one.
That seemed to fix the issue. But that was with regular DVDR blanks.
It has not worked with this one. The disk pops out before the time is done/finished burning.

Now I have a project that is 4.40GB. I have a Dual Double Layer 8X DVD+R D9 8.5 GB blank.
The project parameter are as follows:

Encoding= Professional Quality
DVD type = Double layer 7.7gb
Status of all files/media is a check mark
Encoding shows grey

What can I do to fix this problem, and stop losing DVD's.
Please help.

As whether the DVD works on my laptop its 50/50. If the disk eject before time is done they don't work on DVD player.

I was going to save it as a Disk Image file, but iDVD says,
"DVDs created from double-layer disc images may not play well in some DVD players. If you use a disc burning utility to burn a double-layer disc image, the DVD may not play well in some DVD players. For best results, use iDVD to burn double-layer projects directly to a DVD."
So I have chosen not to do it as of yet.

Ok I got it to work last night.
Here is what I did and it worked.

I deleted all the previous encoding that was done.
I saved it and waited one day.
The next day I created an image file of it, instead of burning it.
The next day I just tried burning again from the iDVD screen. And it worked.
I did not burn from the image file.
I do not think that the waiting days inbetween made a difference.
But this is how I did it.

The burn took less than two hrs on a double layer DVD, the file size was 4.4GB.
And it worked in my DVD player.
QUOTE Thanks
