I'm using MAC Mail v4.5 with an IMAP mail server.
Yesterday, the Sent Items folder of the IMAP server disappeared.
I can see it when I look at it from the web interface, but MAC Mail no longer shows it to me.
I tried defining a new mailbox, but it won't let me because "the folder already exists on the server"

How can I re-sync and get the folder back on my MAC Mail?

Can you tell us which IMAP server you're using? Is it GMail?

It's not Gmail. It's hosted at goDaddy: imap.secureserver.net

I'm not familiar with goDaddy, but you should be able to delete the sent folder from the web interface and then define a new one. Of course backup anything that's in the sent folder you wish to keep. I don't know if that will work or not but the Mail program only "sees" what's on the server. Sounds like something is corrupt.

It got worse. My Sent folder is now gone from the server.
I should have seen that coming and backed it up.
I'm hope GoDaddy has a backup!
