Okay, I need some help. Have already searched for this problem on this forum as well as on the Web generally with no luck.

I tried to set up a Yahoo email account in Mail, but found out that I needed the Plus version of Yahoo Mail in order to set up the account. I played around with the settings some since I had no problem setting up my Yahoo mail on my iTouch. Got the account set up, but it doesn't work. Since I don't plan to pay for the Plus version of Yahoo Mail, I now want to delete the Yahoo email account in Mail. Seems simple, but I must be doing something wrong.

The Yahoo account is grayed out. I right click on the account, select delete this account, get warning about deleting the account, then click Delete. Didn't work.

Right clicked again, clicked take Yahoo Account Online. Now Yahoo is not grayed out. Went through the same deletion procedure as above. Didn't work.

Repeated both procedures above using the standard menu items in mail instead of the context menu items. Still didn't work.

Why can't I get this account deleted? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You need to open Mail - Preferences - Accounts tab - highlight the account in the sidebar - click the minus sign below the sidebar
