iMovie re-install

Hey, my iMovie stopped openning suddenly so I want to reinstall it. How do I do that without reinstalling the entire OS.

I want nothing to change just for iMovie to work. I'm concerned that if I use the CD, I will restore the entire OS too. I do not want that.

Any suggestions?

It gives you a choice on the install window on whether you want to install the OS and/or apps. Then you can go to custom install after you pick target HDD and just leave iMovie selected.

it has all these weird options. not just OSX and/or APPS. It has lots of weird things already checked.

I do NOT want to mess this up.

Is this the only way to get iMovie 4 back onto my computer. I need it for tomorrow.

First I would try to run disk utility and repair permissions. To see if that will resolve the problem.

What version of iMovie are you using?

Yeah, do what RMAN said and if that doesn't work that is your only option. Lucky for me I got iLife '05 discs with mine so I don't have to go that route to reinstall that package.
