I thought I would just ask here to see if anyone could help me. I downloaded an updated version of VLC media player to my macbook pro. Video works fine but no audio at all. I searched countless threads to see people have been having similar problems but no one has been able to give the solution. If anyone here might have any ideas, could you please help me out.

Thanks

Moved to a more appropriate forum.

Does this happen with all videos or only specific ones? What type of files are you trying to play? If you go to VLC > Preferences > Audio, is audio enabled?

well it's really the same issue with all files. Most are just wmv files I believe.

have you accidentally turned the volume down inside vlc by dragging two fingers down by accident? (VLC uses separate volume controls from OSX.)

Did you check to see if audio was enabled? Do these wmv files play in QuickTime once you've installed Flip4Mac?
