    MacKeeper
I bought that software recently. In general, pretty happy with the results.

However, has anybody been able to complete the Undelete process? It keeps freezing up around the 28-min-left mark?

    Thks for your help

There are a number of posts on MacKeeper on this forum and the general consensus is you would be better off without it. Do a thread search using the tool bar at the top of this window.
I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

    Thks for the reply.

Indeed, I'd read quite a bit them before posting.

Would like very much to find the prob with the 'Undelete' tool though.

Any good alternative(s) to MacKeeper? Regularly connected Wifi (and occasional P2P) with strangers, and simply need to secure my MAC - if only for peace of mind.

    Thks

For peace of mind avoid Mackeeper and download Onyx 2.2.7 which is a free app. If you Google unsinstall Mackeeper you will find folk are having problems with the uninstaller not working. Maybe it has been designed NOT to be uninstalled?

    Try this:-

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
