I'm setting up a new mac laptop for some retiree friends who haven't really used a computer since probably the 1980s.

Looking for suggestions for your favorite or must-have sorts of FireFox add-ons.

Not sure where their interests will ultimately take them online, but I imagine they may be interested in news, social networking, products reviews and internet shopping, and finances/banking.

However, I'm also interested in tuning up my own system and would be interested in hearing which add-ons others here find particularly useful.

If you're setting up a computer for someone who hasn't used one in a long time, I'd suggest keeping things as simple as possible and as such, refrain from adding any extensions which may complicate things. Instead, I might create some bookmarks and explain to them what they are.
