I got a new macbook pro and tried to install my old finalcut express but says that it needs an agp graphics card. Is there any way around this? Can the software work at all on this computer?

Which version of Final Cut Express were you trying to install on your new MBP? You may have to update Final Cut Express to use it on your new machine if you have a very old version. It sounds like your version is old since it's asking for an AGP graphics card.
