Indesign crashing? Need help

I have been using CS2 since i got my new imac for over a year with no problems, last night trying to print out a envelope for taxes turned into a nightmare with indesign crashing trying to print even to a pdf? I was going to reinstall then read a 4 page instructions on having to uninstall before a reinstall.

has anyone seen this and is there an easier way to reinstall CS2.

I have not upgraded as a pal did and has been having all sorts of problems........
