Hi,
This should be do-able through System Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts. When you created the VPN in the Network preferences, there was a small check box in the new connection entitled, "Show VPN status in menu bar." Check this, then create a new Keyboard Shortcut of your choosing using the _exact_ text offered in the new VPN menu bar item to connect. I don't have a VPN network set up, but if it says "Connect to VPN (L2TP)" in the VPN menu item, then use that exact text as the Menu Title. The same is true of any menu item in OS X. So, to turn VPN off, simply assign a shortcut to the new text, eg. "Disconnect from VPN (L2TP)." HTH, S. |
