hello,
i have some issues with itunes on my macbook. since a week i can't donwload the itunes store or upload apps to my ipod. and every time i start itunes i get the following error message: You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. (i've translated it from dutch to english).
so i tried to edit my access privileges but that doesn't work, also i tried to repair my privileges on my hard drive, no succes.
In itunes i can't authorize or de-authorize my computer, when i try this i get the following errormessage:
there has been a error during saving your authorisation info on this computer.
the required directory hasn't been found or has the wrong access priveliges. set the proper privileges and try again or de-authorize this computer if the settings can't be changed.
WHAT TO DO?!

1. Did you delete the 'Shared' folder inside the 'Users' folder?

Put it back. iTunes will not authorize without that folder.

Make sure the permissions are set to 'Read & Write' across the board on that folder.

2. Run a repair permissions.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
