New mac - copying apps from old mac
Hi, i am considering getting a new mac and i am wanting the applications i had downloaded and also installed from discs, disc i no dont have, and i am wondering what the best way to transfer all such files is? Will it matter that my current mac is 10.4.11 and the new Mac will be 10.5 or 6?Can the files be copied to external hard drives or can the macs be linked by cable and files copied over?

Be aware some Tiger applications may/will not be compatible with Snow Leopard.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
