Several times I have asked on here for the name of a macro program for my iMac. I had received a suggestion to use one built-into the iMac called "text-replacement feature" or Text Substitution. I have tried that but it works only with programs in the iMac, e.g., TextEdit, Stickies, etc. It doesn't work with other programs, such as Bean, or with websites where you need to type in stuff you use a lot, such as email address, street address.

I had a program on my PC that worked platform-wide on any program. It was Keyboard Express. That company (Insight Software Solutions) doesn't make a program for the Mac.

Is there any similar program which works platform-wide on the Mac?

Your previous thread is here:

McYukon and chas_m gave some good suggestions (QuicKeys and Typinator) there which would seem to meed your needs as you expressed them both in that thread and in this one.
