GarageBand audio only in one ear...

Hey im trying to record vocals over a beat in garageband.. i have an interface i only hear vocal through one side tho.. i changed the setting to mono to stereo i was changing them trying them all and it just one side either the left or right but not both what can i do.. thanxz!
