iTunes playlist transfer problems

I am having trouble importing my playlists into iTunes. I have all of my music already in my library, but when ever I import the playlists, all I get is an empty list. The name shows up but nothing else. I was hoping someone would be able to help me.

Can you explain how you are importing the lists and from where, then we can see where you may be going wrong.

Thanks for the help Kevriano.

To export them, I right clicked on each individual playlist, and exported them to my desktop as a .m3u.

To import them, I have tried dragging them into iTunes as well as File - Library - Import Playlist.

Ok, you need to copy the xml file instead, this contains all the playlist data.
Copy that, and then import it into iTunes and your problem should be fixed.
